Sometimes a book can really speak to you and help you through a rough time. Or maybe it can let you know that you are not alone.

Whatever it is, Andrea Lynn Wehlann thinks you might be able to find it in her new book, “No Matter How Dark the Stain.”

Though Wehlann put the book together during COVID-19, the poet said she first started writing it when she was seven years old.

“I’ve been writing poetry and I’ve been writing through my entire life experiences, which I felt were always a little bit beyond my years, especially at age seven,” she said.

When the pandemic shuttered her yoga studio, Wehlann said, she asked herself how she would get through.

“I just thought, What am I going to do? How can I touch hearts?”
