The Art of the Sale (working title) is set to redefine what it means to succeed in today’s sales landscape—one where buyers are more informed, skeptical, and resistant to old-school tactics.
Instead of relying on manipulative tricks or flashy techniques, The Art of the Sale demonstrates how true success comes from understanding how buyers think. Greenberg guides readers to ask better questions, listen with intent, and build trust, while also unpacking the subtle social and strategic dynamics at play in every sales conversation. From shifting mindsets to navigating decision-making structures inside organizations, the book offers a clear-eyed and human approach to influence.
“It takes a special kind of nerd to be interested in the mechanics of selling, behavioural science, and behaviour economics to an extent great enough to read as much as I have read on the topic, and to spend as much time as I have thinking about how the two work together,” Greenberg says. “In addition to that, most people who have significant sales experience don’t approach the craft academically as well as practically, which I do.”
For Greenberg, an executive with extensive experience in the technology and digital media industries, the journey to becoming an author was as transformative as the message itself. “I’ve always wanted to teach what I know,” he says. “At first, I wasn’t sure I had a book in me—just a series of ideas and articles. But about three years ago, I saw the bigger picture. I realized I could shape those pieces into something cohesive, something that could help others.”
