Ingenium Books seeks a part-time Publishing and Title Management Coordinator to play a central role in supporting our values-driven mission: breathing life into powerful transformative stories.
This role is ideal for a tech-savvy someone, perhaps recently retired or semi-retired, who is energized by variety, thrives in a support role, and is excited by meaningful, part-time remote work (approx. 10–20 hours/week to start).
🧩 Who You Are
- A publishing professional or project coordinator with experience managing editorial/design/production pipelines.
- Comfortable with remote work and using modern tools like Trello, Google Drive, Canva, KDP, IngramSpark, and WordPress along with the MS Word and Excel.
- A natural relationship builder: clients and teammates trust you.
- Self-governed, dependable, and decisive—yet collaborative and warm.
- Someone who loves helping others succeed.
- You value honesty, integrity, service, and efficiency.
🛠️ What You'll Do
- Coordinate and update publishing projects in Trello to keep authors, editors, designers, and stakeholders aligned.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for authors and freelancers.
- Track and support production schedules, release dates, team assignments, and title lifecycle oversight.
- Help maintain author- and public-facing tools, update key project status reports for authors
- Participate in project planning discussions with the publisher and team.
- Set up new project workflows and maintain metadata integrity across platforms.
- Support monthly author community events and occasional Canva-based design tasks.
- Contribute to a dynamic, flexible team with ideas for process improvement.
🎯Your Ideal Experience
- Publishing project coordination or editorial operations experience (required).
- Knowledge of ONIX metadata, distributor interface platforms (e.g. KDP, IngramSpark, Kobo, etc. (strong asset).
- Familiarity with taxonomy principles and cloud file management.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills (we’re a publishing company!).
- Bonus if you’ve previously led transition projects for a publisher changing title management systems, distributors, or distribution models.
